Here are our questions:
What is the typical child’s attitude about their parent’s re-marriage in the beginning of their new family? What can a parent do to help their child adjust to their new stepfamily?
A new national report (Jan. 13, 2011) by the Pew Research Center reveals the recent statistics on stepfamilies in the past decade. One out of every three or 60% of Americans has a relationship with either a stepparent, a step or half sibling or a stepchild. Today, one out of every three marriages are stepfamilies. This translates into a staggering 100 million people in the US .
